You can take note with this plugin. It shows up under content editor. Notes won't appear on actual pages. So visitors can't see your notes.

This plugin does exactly what it says.
I use it to make notes about pages, while in my test environment.
When I have different versions of a page, I can keep notes on which short code goes where and why.
When working with different projects, it's quite easy to lose track.
But this way I can easily keep track of what goes where and why, in a very handy location.
Thumbs up for the developer.
