/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

No! You just need to active and it's working.

This is a plugin for the time when you hit "New Post" and use the online editor. It doesn't inject the 'private' visibility at the time of making of the post, so it can't work when using the WP apps. But it works perfectly as advertised.
